GR Echo of a CD Olena

Having grown up breaking ponies to ride and drive, we always found there was a lack of good ponies with the brains and pedigree to back them. Four years ago, I set out to bridge that gap by breeding one of our best Shetland-influenced mares to a direct son of CD Olena, with Peppy San breeding on the bottom side. The result was a 12.3hh stud that has been nothing but a joy to break—level-headed from day one and moving cattle by his third ride. Today we are offering his first foal out of my personal favourite registered pony mare.

The filly’s dam is a direct daughter of my first pony growing up, sired by my go-to Welsh × Quarter Horse ranch ride. We have done a little bit of everything with this mare, and she has been every kid’s favourite pony to ride.

We call this filly Echo. She comes registered with IQPA papers and is halter broke. She’s built like a Quarter Horse and thinks like one—bred to be easy to break and made for the next generation of young horsemen and trainers. We anticipate Echo maturing between 10.2hh and 11.2hh.
